Unlike any travel program to Israel, the central physical fitness component of a FIT Tour are the daily walking tours. Here we will explore by food the hidden corners of the Carmel, Galilee, Jerusalem and the Judean Desert.
Itinerary:
Day 1 Mon: Transfer to the Carmel Forest Spa Resort, orientation, local hike in the Carmel Forest, dinner and evening yoga session.
Day 2 Tue: Morning Yoga, then take a beautiful hike (~6 miles) in the Carmel Mountains ending with a visit to the colorful artists' colony Ein-Hod. Return to the resort for lunch, afternoon strength & core training, dinner, evening walk and massage. Day 3 Wed: Morning yoga, transfer north to the Galilee and hike the Betzet stream and the springs of Kziv just below the Crusaders' fortress of Monfort (~7 miles combined), return to hotel for strength and core training, dinner, evening walk and program.
Day 4 Thurs: Morning Yoga, transfer for our hike (~8.5 miles) at the Amud ('pole') canyon where we will be joined by a rabbi & scholar from Sefed specializing in Kabballah, lecture & learning as we hike down the canyon, creating a true spiritual experience. After lunch we will take an adventurous ATV / jeep tour through the hills of the Galilee, return to the resort for strength & core training dinner, evening walk and massage. Day 5 Fri: Morning Yoga, then hike the Yagur stream in the Carmel Mountains. After lunch we check out and transfer to Jerusalem, checking in to the David Citadel Hotel. Pre-Shabbat stretching clinic, prepare for Shabbat and group walk to the Kotel for evening davening, Shabbat dinner, then evening guided walk of the beautiful Yemin Moshe neighborhood.
Day 6 Sat: Free morning, Shabbat morning at leisure for davening at local shuls, after Kiddush guided walk of the Old City, Motzei Shabbat yoga strength & core training at the hotels gym & spa.
Day 7 Sun: Early morning drive south to Masada, morning Masada climb then hike towards the Rahaf Canyon (~3 miles). Yoga secession in the desert then we enjoy free time at one of the Dead Sea's resort spas. Evening desert farewell party and healthy feast at a Bedouin tent (kosher), stretching clinic and return to Jerusalem.
