Air Travel:  Airlines that service Costa Rica are American Airlines, Delta, Continental, USAir, Mexicana, TACA, Frontier Airlines and Spirit Air.  Please feel free to contact Kosher Expeditions for help with airline information and ticketing. 

Air Routing:  Participants will fly in and out of Liberia International Airport (LIR – airport code) which is approximately 30 minutes from the resort (airport transfers are included from LIR only in the price of your package).

*Please note transfer from San Jose to Ocotal is approximately 4.5 hours.  Participants have the option of purchasing local air transfers (40 minutes) from San Jose to Liberia in place of the bus transfer.  Please call for detials. 

Discounted air tickets: are available for individual purchase through the group meeting service at: American Airlines & Continental.

To purchase tickets you may call the airline directly at the telephone numbers listed below or your local travel agent.  When booking give the confirmation number and or code to receive your discount.  Ticket discounts may range from 5% to 15%.  Restrictions apply; please contact the airlines for details.

Alternative Air Routing:  Those interested in arriving and departing out of San Jose (SJO) have the option of using the local commuter air service Nature Air (www.natureair.com) to arrive into Liberia (LIR) or Sansa Airlines www.flysansa.com .  Flights are approximately 45 minutes and are approximately $85 each way per person. (*Please note there is a baggage limit per person), please contact the airline for details.

Ground Shuttle Service to the Resort from San Jose:  Those flying into San Jose as an alternative to Liberia, we are offering a free transfer that will depart SJO International Airport at 9:00am on March 29th and return April 7th departing the resort at 6:30am arriving in San Jose at approximately 11:30am.  This transfer is approximately 4.5 hrs.  It is reccommend that clients returning home should make their return flights after 2:00pm from SJO.   

Participants arriving on alternate date a private shuttle service is also available from San Jose International Airport to the resort.  Please call for details or to make reservations.  Transfer costs are approximately $250 for a car/van and $350 for a mini-bus(restrictions and minimum number of passangers apply, please call for details).

Air Request:  We recommend clients first call the airlines or your local travel agent directly for airfare purchases.  For international airfare we recommend using the internet as a second choice.  If you are unable to acquire adequate airfare via these avenues please feel free to fill out our “Air Request Form” and we will try our best to locate and quote you the best possible airfare we can acquire.  Group fares are available for groups of 10 or more departing and arriving together as a group from the same destination at the same time.
